Status Update - Holiday Edition 2009

Wow, where did the Fall go? The good news is that the waiting is almost over. We've had a big push the last few weeks, and we have some progress to report. But before we get to that, we'd like to wish everyone Happy Holidays and a safe and prosperous New Year. 2009 has been a very exciting and fun year for us. We've enjoyed meeting and talking to our customers and friends about our products and plans. As good as 2009 was, you can expect much more from us in 2010, and we can't wait to show you what we've been working on!

Now, on to our news. We placed an order last Friday for development circuit boards, and we ordered the electronic components for those boards last night. There are four circuit board designs in our order. Two are updates of our existing products, the Interior Lighting Module (ILM101), and the LightBeam (LBM101). Both these products received design improvements, including a significant change to the LightBeam to make it easier to manufacture.

The other two circuit boards are new products. One is based on the Interior Lighting Module, and will be of interest to the "train guys". Bob's other hobby is model railroading, and he has used his experience in that hobby to design our first of several products directed towards the Lego train market.

The last circuit board is part of a system we are developing that is the product we originally started BrickCircuits to make. We don't want to say too much about this product just yet, but we are very excited to finally have a circuit board design that is ready to test. We will keep you informed as this progresses.

We expect to receive the new circuit boards sometime next week. These boards are considered "development" boards, which means they will be used to test our new designs. After we check them out, and make sure everything works as intended (or we correct any problems), we will place orders for "production" boards and components. Assuming all goes well, we should have our two existing products back in stock, along with the introduction of a third, sometime in January.

Thanks for all your encouragement and support this year. We look forward to serving you even better in 2010.
